I’m stoked to be a some stellar events this Spring. I’ll be bringing a carefully curated selection of hand knits (for those that appreciate the art of knitting by hand) and knitting kits (for those with skills – or want to learn the skills) to DIY!
I’m a vendor this year and it’s coming up fast! Follow me on Facebook or Instagram for all of the behind-the-scenes as I prep for this dream of a lifetime! Click the image above for $1 off online tickets. Hope to see you there!
P.S. I’m giving away free tickets to the show on Facebook and Instagram, so head over there if you want a chance.
The official kick-off of my holiday market season is underway and I had a little help today.
The girls have been asking to help mommy out at her shows for a little while now, but timing had always been difficult and show locations haven’t been convenient. Today, though, the first holiday show in my line-up, was manageable on all counts! So the girls came with me for the adventure.
It was delightful having them with me for the morning (half a day was all they could handle). My oldest seemed to have the most interest in what I was selling, what people were buying and what everyone else was selling and doing, while my youngest was a natural sales girl. She was not shy, told on-lookers about the prices and asked them to try it on!
A wonderful experience to share with my girls, for sure! Perhaps more in the future, even!
In the next two weeks I’m hitting up a couple of local holiday shows in support of two school fundraisers. It will be my first time at both of these events, but I’m looking forward to meeting some local artisans and crafters, and getting a kick-start on the holiday season!
I’ll have a few new woolen goodies, plus my popular cowls, gloves and cacti for sale! Start your holiday shopping now! It’s perfect wool season!
For more details on both of these shows visit my events page.
A shopping event in a winery means there is plenty of good Niagara wine available. Paired with fresh baked goods, tacos, wood-fired pizza and freshly shucked oysters, there is no other market quite like this one!
I’m always amazed by the ton of talent that I am surrounded by at this event. This year I was neighbours with Leslie of The Wandering Locavore and Tara of On a Branch soaps. I love discovering the talents of other vendors and shows like this one brings together such wonderful artists.
The customers in the Niagara region love handmade and really support their local communities. It’s wonderful to meet my customers face-to-face at markets like this one. I have the opportunity to try out new products and directly see the reaction when I launched my new Knit Kits concept for the first time at time this past weekend. Hearing and seeing customer reactions helps me to stay inspired and motivated to keep pursuing this dream.
This show is the start of a very busy Fall and Winter season for me. I have grand plans to take my craft in some new directions this season. I’m excited for the journey to come. I hope you will be, too!
The second show I’m participating in later this month is going to be a great one! It’s happening nation-wide and I’ll be in the Toronto show. It’s the Etsy: Made in Canada pop-up.
Make sure you’re one of the first 50 people in the door because there’s going to be swag! I’m working on mine already and of course there will be fiber involved!
Check out my events page for more info on where you can find me this Fall and Winter. See you there!
It’s the last weekend of Summer coming up and I find myself excited for the coming weeks and months ahead. Fall is my favourite time of year. This is probably true for most knitters!
My first show of 2014 will be the Handmade Market in St. Catherines. This is one of my favourite events because it doesn’t get any better than wine, food and a weekend of handmade.
I hope you can join me at the 13th Street Winery along with 75 other talented vendors. I love meeting my customers!
Have a look at my past experiences at this show!
