{out & about} leslieville

The sun was out, there was a cool breeze, and I had the day off.

Perfect opportunity for a trip to my favourite yarn shop to pick up a bottle of Soak to block my first knit shawl, and an afternoon of exploring the stretch of Toronto famously known as Leslieville.

The outing also included a little shopping… like trying to decide if either of these teak sideboards would look good in our dining room. I’ve been searching for one since our renovations almost 2 years ago (we’re slow to furnish our house).

In addition to lots of vintage and second hand shops, Leslieville has a very active handmade community. I stopped into the Arts Market, a collection of craft displays from various local Toronto artists. I picked up a chic crochet hemp wrap bracelet from Michele Guevara. Her collection of crochet summer jewellery is so fun!

I wore it immediately (in the centre), paired with my Stella & Dot tribute bracelet (left) and vintage charm bracelet (right).

Then a pit stop for lunch of fish & chips (freshly made) and wrapped in newspaper cone. Yum!

What a good day!

How is your Friday? What did you do today?
