{travel} seattle

I found myself in Seattle for work for a few days earlier this week. I had one evening to myself and made my way downtown for some shopping, sight seeing and seafood by the pier in Pike Place.

It was the first time I visited Seattle. The view of the mountains and the wonderfully tall pines blew me away. To have a view of the mountains and trees daily as I worked would be a dream!

The trip also presented some uninterrupted knitting time. Five hours on a plane, perfect to start a very first shawl for K.

I cast on for the Little House Shawl using a merino superwash by Fiberstory. One of my favourite things about this shawl is the colourful pinks, grey-blues, yellow-oranges of this pretty yarn.

Hope your week was a bit of adventurous, too!
Happy weekend, friends! It’s a long weekend here in T.O.

  1. Seattle is a place on my list of “to visit” and your photos definitely affirm that. What a lovely shawl pattern … looking forward to seeing how it progresses in that yummy yarn.
