warm gifts

I’m a little addicted to making these. Mostly because I love the idea of the cute little legs that these will cover, but also because I’m love trying out new varieties, tones and textures with different yarns.

Yarn: Berroco Ultra Alpaca Tonal (red) and Cascade 220 Superwash (purple)

These are both gifts – made by request for a friend, which I admit I was a little late in delivering because of the holiday rush and preparations for the craft show a couple of weeks ago.  These things happen.

I have a few more of these little warmies on my to-do list. They are becoming quite the item from K’s dance class buddies. Since I knit while I’m watching K dance, these little legwarmies are starting to get some notice. I’d be delighted to make a pair for all her classmates. I think little girls in tutus and legwarmers are the sweetest thing. And who wouldn’t want to keep up the sweetness, don’t you think?

I also had enough leftover of the Cascade to make a matching purple ribby neckwarmer. It makes a great set, don’t you agree?

Ravelry notes here.
