weekending: halloween prep

Lots of Halloween happiness this weekend, from costume parties and pumpkin patch visits to no-so-spooky (the scary part of Halloween is frightful for my littles) decor, it was full-on Halloween goodness this weekend for us.

Putting the decorations outside was a lot of fun. Both girls wanted to help, especially L who kept re-ordering the line-up of Halloween shaped stakes on the front lawn.

This weekend, I’m finding inspiration in these fun diy crafts and activities…

:: this patchwork pillow reminds me of my childhood afternoon making origami crane after crane. I still love making these cranes even today!
:: another beautiful cake by Parikha has me thinking about possibilities for L’s 2nd year celebration!
:: and Ruby‘s inspired wooden-doll-family-transformed-to-Halloween-decor is simply the sweetest!

What is inspiring your creativity today?

Happy weekend, friends!

  1. One week to go before the big day! My youngest doesn’t even want to hand out candy this year — something about it not being cool. Oh, I long for those days of innocence!
