weekending: at the knitters’ fair

Fiber fondling at the Knitters’ Fair was a delight. It was a morning to myself (hubby entertained the kiddos at home) shopping, talking and being inspired by yarn and fiber goodness.I even had a chance to meet Tanis and Julie at the TFA booth, while they helped me debate of colour combos for my next project, the ombre cardigan. My favourite booth at the show was Emily‘s of Viola. The vintage inspired accents (I learned that Emily’s mom made the vine-twisted letters) are fitting for the muted colourways of her gorgeous dyed yarns – the angoras were absolutely yummy!

I’m drawing inspiration this week from…

:: more paint chip crafts in Jordan‘s roundup of the 8 best paint chip projects
:: searching craiglist for a little tykes playhouse to remodel for the girls
:: loving this bejewelled birthday party, complete with diamond pinata! How cool is that!
:: adding to my owl obsession, I’m going to be on the lookout for garage sale wooden owls to transform!

What is inspiring you today?
