Last week, I made Jamie Oliver’s farafelle carbonara with spring peas and it was delicious! It was the first time I made carbonara and I couldn’t believe how easy it was — eggs, cream, bacon, peas and pasta — what could be simpler. There was barely any cooking at all! 

This time, I followed the recipe exactly. No substitutions or changes for a change. Actually, there wasn’t really any need to substitute; the recipe was super easy! 

So what’s on the table this week? 

I’m going back to my favourite Food Network Canada star, Michael Smith and trying his pan roasted steak with tarragon mushroom sauce. Check back here next week for the photos and results.
