When I first saw this design I wasn’t sure I liked it, but after a second look at the pattern, I was intrigued by how the cross-hatch pattern was constructed so I decided to try it. I’m glad I did because the result was this wonderfully sweet, vintage-inspired pixie hat.
Don’t you just love babes in knit hats? I do. I just can’t stop making them, especially elf and pixie hats. Something about the pointy top on a round and chubby face just makes me smile!
Pattern: from Kristen Rengren’s Vintage Baby Knits
Yarn: Patons Grace in Viola
The sizing is for this one fits up to 12 months so my babe will get good use out of this hat for an entire year! Plus, I knit it in cotton so it’s great for the evenings in the spring and summer months, too.
