One thing I love is joy of kids experiencing the wonder of how food is made. Today, K’s playschool went on a field trip to the Loblaws market for a baking lesson. Chocolate chip banana muffins were on order today. What a treat!

And while the muffins baked, an extra treat… icing and decorating cupcakes!

How delicious is that?!

(Incidentally, the bus ride on the yellow school bus, K’s first time, was a highlight in her heart!)

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins Recipe:

1/3 cup oil
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
2 ripe bananas mashed
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350F
Grease 24 mini muffin cups. Mash bananas and set aside. Mix flour, baking soda and salt together in a small bowl. Set aside.
Whisk together oil, sugar and egg. Add in mashed banana and mix. Add in flour mixture and mix. Fold in chocolate chips!
Bake for 10-15 minutes. Enjoy!
