scraps

yarn scrapsMy fellow knitters will understand how many bits and pieces are collected after each project, each stitch. I can’t seem to part with them and have figured out a number of uses for them…

Some end up as packaging ties for gifts and shop items, some are reused as stuffing (my puffy heart brooches are filled with them) and a lot end up at my girls craft table — adding a dash of colour to their art.

What about you? How do you use and store your yarn bits?

I’m also saving my leftover string. I’ve seen other knitters place the small pieces outside in the Spring for birds to build their nests with. I plan to try that this year!

  2. I have a jar of scraps too. I think I will probably end up using them as stuffing!

I just love the look of them in the jar–so pretty!
