pattern: basic kids sock
yarn: Knit Picks Felici
I know many knitters who love knitting socks. I’m not one of them. In fact, I think these are the very first pair of socks I’ve ever really made.
My girls love rainbows. This one is for my littlest, L. I’m casting on another pair for K. I’m not sure that I’ll turn into a sock knitter. I’ll probably make a few more for the kids and that’s it. We’ll see. But I do love how this self-striping yarn turns out – with lovely blocks of colour!
My Ravelry notes here.

Do you do “combined” knitting? Just wondering, since your stitches look like they’re knitted through the back loops.
I love bright and cheery socks. My kids don’t really care for my knit socks, which is fine by me–more sock yarn for me! I hope your little ones appreciate them!
I’m not sure, Tracy. My grandma and my mom taught me to knit, so I guess so!
I’ve wondered about that Knit Pick’s yarn and now seeing how beautifully they knit up, I’m sold.
I love this self striping pattern this yarn creates!
Cute! Anna would get a kick out of these socks!
Those are the cutest socks! I remember loving anything with rainbows when I was in the 5th grade… :)
