grow little bean, grow
On Earth Day, K’s class each planted bean seeds and brought them home. After the bean sprouted, we decided to plant it in my dad’s garden. K tends to her little plant faithfully and today it is flourishing. She’s like a proud parent almost! It’s endearing to watch her excitement as she shows me each little bean pod that grows from it and each little flower that will eventually turn into a bean. Continue reading

K’s last day of school was last week and her teacher gave a her collection of in-class journals. Of all the things that she brings home, these little books are the treasures. They give me a bit more insight into the thoughts and desires of the little girl my baby is growing up to be. I love her. Continue reading

This past weekend, while heading out early Saturday morning in search of buttery pastries to bring for a brunch date with some good friends I don’t see very often, I noticed some signs directing to an arts and craft show not far from my house (literally, it was at the end of the major street that I live off) by the park by the lake. This past Sunday was her dance recital. I love her little outfit. It’s just too sweet on her. She loves the velvet texture of the bodysuit. She likes to rub it against the grain and watch the lines form and them make them disappear. It’s sweetly fascinating. Continue reading
