pattern: Quick Mittens for Men by Jane Richmond
yarn: Patons Shetland Chunky
mods: none
I’ve been knitting for over 6 years now and last week was the first time he’s ever asked me to make anything for him. I always assumed he wouldn’t wear anything I knitted (most men are like that, aren’t they?) and I didn’t mind just knitting for the girls anyways.
Maybe I assumed wrong. Or maybe after 6 years, he figured I had some talent after-all! But for whatever the reason, these charcoal grey mitts are the perfect first knit for him. They were simple in design and construction and quick on chunky yarn and 6mm needles.
I’m actually thinking of trying a scarf on him for size. Maybe a nice cashmerino blend, I think…. what possibilities. I might just like this knitting for men business!
