crossing off #31

Bella's Eclipse hat

I’ve been attacking my list with zeal these past several weeks, and earlier I jumped at the chance to see a movie (sans babies) — check off #31, please! One of my guilty pleasures are the Twilight movies. There I’ve said it, but I’m sure I’m not the only one out there that loves a good teen vampire romance flick!

During the latest movie, Eclipse, when I saw Bella wearing this hat, I immediately began thinking about the pattern — how many rows, the colour changes. When I saw this pattern on Ravelry (almost immediately afterwards) I laughed because there was some many other knitters out there trying to reproduce it, too!

Yarn: Cascade 220 Heathers
Pattern: by Rachel at swatchless.com

Did you know that there are entire blogs about movie knits? One of my favourites, Vickie Howell has a regular feature called Movie Monday all about knits seen in films.

I love how this hat turned out. It will be one of my staple winter hats for sure!

Happy Monday!

what a cute hat! Even cooler that it matches the one in the movie.

You did a perfect job replicating!

I’m giong to head over to that blog to check it out! And you are definitely not the only teen-vampire-follower, though I am not. My daughter keeps trying to get me to read the series and the 60+ year old secretary at my office is addicted to the books and movies as well. Go figure. Your hat — like everything else that comes off your needles — looks wonderful. Man, you’re on a roll.

It looks great! I’m glad there are others out there who want to knit hats from the movies. Thanks for linking to my blog too.
