i heart fridays: market bags
In Ontario, summers are all about fresh Ontario produce and farmers’ markets. Since last fall, I’ve been meaning to knit a sweet mesh market bag for my weekly farmers’ market outings, but alas, it’s already August and I’ve yet to get one of these beauties on my needles yet! Continue reading
hello sunshine
I’m rejoicing today because a break in the hot, humid weather is here — for one day at least. Tomorrow will be sticky again. L and I took advantage with an outdoor outing around our neighbourhood this morning. I saw these cheery sunflowers at a store and had to bring them home to brighten up my window. Continue reading
crossing off #31
I’ve been attacking my list with zeal these past several weeks, and earlier I jumped at the chance to see a movie (sans babies) — check off #31, please! One of my guilty pleasures are the Twilight movies. There I’ve said it, but … Continue reading
i heart fridays
Before I went on maternity leave, I loved Fridays because it meant two days off. Now, I heart Fridays because it means two full days as a family of four. the perfect lemonade

crossing off #16
A couple of weeks ago when we moved back in, I was able to cross off #16: plant something by cleaning up (read: weeding) and prettying up my front yard. Continue reading
on the move
L has been wearing the legwarmies I made for K these days to protect her knees from rug burn as she moves across the floor. I love that this pattern makes up into something both my girls, who are three years apart, can wear. Continue reading
7 months
My dear littlest one, I know I say this each and every time you hit a monthly milestone, but it’s so true; I can’t believe how quickly you are growing and how much you’ve learned in 7 short months. I still think that your birth date was only just yesterday; how tiny, how loud, and how sweet you were that day. Continue reading
as sweet as honey
I must be countering the sweltering weather by thinking cold thoughts and knitting winter wear because a few wool hats have been flying off my needles lately. And I actually put it on outside for a few minutes in the heat wave for some photos in my backyard. Crazy, huh? Continue reading
