I’ve seen this pattern floating around the blogsphere for some time now and after stopping by The Purple Purl booth at this year’s Creativ Festival, I picked it up for a quick baby knitting fix.
I love the colour mix of this sweater. The pistachio green, deep blue and rusty orange is the perfect colour combo for my winter babe. Even better, I love this top down knitting pattern, which means very little sewing up for me!
Perhaps now I don’t feel as guilty for not completing more projects for this new babe now that this one is off my needles and hanging perfectly in anticipation for its wee wearer.
Yarn: Mission Falls 1824 Cotton
Pattern: Top Down Sweater by Denise Powell

Love the colors….It’s adorable.
Hello! I just found the pattern for this sweater on Patternfish-but I’m a beginning knitter and am having difficulty figuring out the increases in the first few rows-row 8 specifically. I don’t think I’m doing it right because I don’t end up with 64 stitches. I’m wondering if you might be able to help me out, as I’m not sure where else I can post and ask for assistance.
